Junior group 1 includes children from 2 to 3 years old. They are often restless and very active. Wooden toys are a priority here: they are safe, understandable, and contribute to the development of imagination and creativity.

  2. All objects that come into the toddler’s field of vision must be accessible. They can be placed on low racks, in mobile boxes, and plastic containers.
  3. Some entertainment attributes need to be made mobile. Their peculiarity will be that they can be used in different areas and can be easily transferred from one space to another.

Smart selection and practical placement of items will make the gameplay not only fun, but also useful. This approach will have a positive effect on the development of a 3-4 year old child. Toys will develop his fantasy, imagination, and orient him in space.

List of toys for 2nd younger group

The 2nd younger group includes children from 3 to 4 years old. Fine motor games are still important for them, but role play also appears in the activity. This is where toys come in handy, with the help of which kids come up with various scenarios and simulate real-life situations. Children learn to play together and show creativity. Therefore, to the previous list of materials for the first group we will add a few more:

  1. Calendar games on a wooden base. They are similar to busy boards, but their purpose is to teach the child to determine the time, day of the week, season. These manuals are bright and colorful, the numbers on the dial are clear, and the weather and season are indicated with a caption and pictures to make them easier to remember.
  2. Role-playing games on various topics: doctor’s and hairdresser’s kits, grocery baskets, household appliances, dishes. Girls like dolls and doll houses, boys like robots and fantastic animals.
  3. Lotto and dominoes. Promote the development of speech, memory and logical thinking. They are convenient to play with a whole group, but only under the supervision of a teacher.
  4. Various types of public transport and cars.

Games that deepen knowledge about counting will be useful: business boards with numbers, abacus, counting sticks, fraction puzzles. Construction sets for the second junior group of kindergarten are much more complex; they contain more details and small elements.

Play equipment in the garden needs to be changed and updated regularly. Over time, any toys become outdated, worn out and simply boring. But competently equipping a kindergarten is only half of success and harmonious development. For young children, the most important thing is to introduce a new toy correctly. Try to clearly explain and clearly show how it should be handled. And most importantly, do not forget about safety rules and age-appropriate toys

Six golden rules

After the improved Tic-Tac-Toe, Alena began to come up with the following games, and in the process she identified seven important rules for herself that will become the key to an interesting and useful game:

  1. The game is for kids, not adults. To keep children interested, don't make the game too hard or too easy.
  2. For children it is entertainment, for the teacher it is a tool. The game is not just for fun. And if this is entertainment for children, then the teacher must formulate the goal that he wants to achieve with this activity, for example, to consolidate educational material or develop the logical thinking of children.
  3. "Squares" is a universal playing field. For an introduction to floor games, the universal playing field “Squares” is perfect: a rectangle made up of 24 squares. The recommended size is 1.4 by 2.8 meters to make it easier for children to move around. You can create the playing field yourself, for example, draw squares with electrical tape on the floor, or you can use ready-made material, for example, banner cloth.
  4. Game is movement. Think about what the child should do: remove pictures, spin a hoop, jump with a ball. Children love movement, and standing still will be boring for them.
  5. Rules are the basis of order. Think and clearly explain to children what can be done during the game and what cannot be done. This will make it easier to control the process and achieve didactic goals.
  6. Everything is good in moderation. To prevent children from getting bored with games, it is optimal to conduct them no more than two or three times a week. The exception is play activity during morning exercises: it is part of an exercise cycle and takes only a few minutes.
